  • Music Scholarship Program

The Grace Lutheran Music Scholarship program is intended to help subsidize the musical education for music students who are members of Grace Lutheran Church. Two scholarships will be given annually which will pay up to $20 per lesson for 32 lessons. The students may receive lessons from any qualified instructor in any instrument or voice.

To apply, students will be asked to complete the following:

    - an application including information about their musical interests and involvement and normal contact information,

    - an essay about why they would like the scholarship, and contributions they are making or will be able to make to the church if awarded the scholarship, and

    - an audition for the selection committee where three selections of the student’s choice are performed.

In exchange for the scholarship award, the selected students will be asked to perform service to the church in a musical capacity decided upon by all and equal to the student’s abilities at the time.

Deadline for the application and essay is July 31, 2012.

Please submit completed application materials to the Church Office.

Auditions will be scheduled during the month of August with selections to be made within two weeks of the auditions.

All application materials and a detailed description of the program are available:

    - Outside the Sunday School office

    - In the Church Office

    - On the Desk in the Parlor

    Thank you!
